Is there a fee to attend class? No. All classes are free and open to attend, and you don’t need any insurance or payment.
-
If I miss a session, will I be removed from the program? No. We get it: life is busy! Attend classes when it’s convenient for you.
-
Do I need to bring anything to class? No, just yourself! All classes provide the needed equipment and materials for your learning. If you will be joining a virtual class from home, you will be guided on what equipment is needed for the recipe.
-
What will we do during a cooking class? When you attend an in-person class, expect to have fun! Each class starts with an education discussion, then moves into the kitchen for guided hands-on cooking in a group. When you join a virtual class, be sure to have a stable internet connection and join from any smart device, such as a phone, tablet or computer. Virtual classes are usually shorter than in-person classes. We typically send recipes prior to start of class. You can choose to cook along from home, or sit back, relax and watch.
-
What if I have a food allergy?During in-person cooking classes, you can review all the ingredients used in recipes and know which foods to eat or avoid based on your allergy. If you are allergic to a main ingredient in one of the recipes, we can help you find substitutions to make the dish safe for you at home. Reach out to the instructor for help or questions.
-
What if I don’t like one of the recipes cooked in class? We ask you to come to class with an open mind. We strive to set up a learning environment where all tastes, flavors, and food cultures are welcome.
-
What do we do in a fitness class?Be prepared to have fun and decrease your stress. Our instructors are trained professionals who can provide personalized modified movements to fit your needs. Be sure to wear comfortable clothes that allow range of movement and supportive shoes, if needed. Have water nearby to stay hydrated.
-
What if I can’t keep up in a fitness or exercise class?Classes are appropriate for beginners and more experienced fitness levels. Our instructors are trained to offer modifications to meet your individual fitness needs. Always reach out to instructor if you have questions!
-
In virtual classes, do I need a camera? No. Although we love to see you, you are not required to have a camera or have it turned on during class.
-
Are classes offered in different languages?Yes. We offer a variety of classes that are taught in both English and Spanish. Contact us if your preferred language is other than English or Spanish.
-
What if I need special accommodations? We are happy to help! Either email or talk to the instructor before the start of class for accommodations to fit your needs.
-
Can I take the same class over again?Yes! You may take a course as many times as you like. We never stop learning.
-
Once I finish a series, what should I do next?We continuously offer other classes and programing. View our webpage and calendar for updated lists of classes or call the Wellness Referral Center at 505-445-5332 to find more sessions in your community.
